These are lyrics from 2 different songs which I heard in some TV plays. I don't know why I hum these whenever my mind is free. They seemed to be rendered deep down my unconsious now.
Here these are.
1) Manzil ne di aawaz bandhe saaz aa gaye, tere naam ka dushala liye dur pe aa gaye
Translation: On hearing the call from my destination, I arrived at thy doorstep, with blanket of your name and packed instruments.
Origin : Unknown, Some TV play on Doordarshan - National Broadcaster, India.
2) Jaane ye Kaisi Zameen hai, koi patta daal pe nahin hai.
Translation: Don't know, what sought of land is this, there is not a single leaf on the branch.
Origin : TV Movie "School Bus", on Doordarshan - National Broadcaster, India.
The first song was sung in the play, when the girl who works in a theater leaves the house of her married sister, coz of sexual advances of her brother-in-law.
The second song was sung by the protaganist of the movie when he was doing a group outing with his school mates. The sorroundings were pretty, and the heroine of the movie was look alike of Sushmita Sen ;-)
I have been looking for this song for years ... "Jaane Ye Kaisi Zameen Hai, Koi Patta Daal Pe Nahi Hai" Do you know where can I get it..apart from DD's archive... you know that you are the only post on web about this song!
