Losing Friends at Work...

I never thought, I will feel so sad...someday...

I am losing my friends at work...

With Markets going grim and Software Industry going haywire, it's now normal to hear companies laying off employees for benefit of who will survive.

As I am writing this blogpost...Some of my friends are getting pink-slips in distant land.

I met few last year and never met most in-person. But all of them were always connected to me...very near to my heart.

We laughed together, we worked together, we got frustrated at times, sometimes at each other...but we were always together...we might have not shared the table at dinner...but we always wished each other "have a great weekend"....we cared for each other...we were more than colleagues...we visioned together...we celebrated small wins and we mourned even smaller losses....We were afraid at times, we were concerned for each other....and we were together...

Going to work won't be fun anymore from tomorrow...I might be searching the soul of work all together again...

I am sure I'll feel stranger at work...the cubicles will somehow become walled cages...and I don't know...while I am writing ... how many of us will survive...and even if we survive...will we survive "Human"

I am sad, and I am angry too...and I feel helpless...

I want to wish them Happy Christmas...I want to believe that they will keep the spirit, I want to hope that I will find them again...someday at work...

I want to work with them more...and enjoy working with friends...

  1. When this kinds of things happen, the one goes and the one left got stressed and bad feeling for long time and impact life of both side. Also we lose loyalty to company and try to find way to keep job security. Soon we will get together, economy will get better and every company will start posting JOBS. Chinese old story said "塞翁之馬" (there are good things with bad thing and also bad things coming with good thing.) Now is turn of bad thing coming with good thing. Cheers.
